Title: Profit Center Manager

Position Summary: The Profit Center Manager will be responsible for industrial and commercial business segments within the plumbing sector, as well as aligning vendor relationships with the vision of the company. Assess the existing staff and its capabilities, align organization structure and talent assessment. Business development is a key component.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the entire spectrum of the Profit Center’s operation to achieve agreed upon financial metrics. These metrics include, but are not limited to sales growth, customer relationship maintenance and development, gross profit margins, asset management, and expense control. Success is defined by Return on Investment at the location, and profit sharing (a percentage of operating income above a minimum ROI) is earned and shared with all eligible employees at the profit center
  • Direct and Control the Outside and Inside Sales staff.
  • Direct and Control the Warehouse and Truck Driver staff.
  • Direct and Manage the Purchasing function.
  • Direct and Manage the Administrative staff and their activities.
  • Manage the business through monthly analysis of financial reports to determine the success and failure of plans and programs initiated to accomplish certain goals; and then take actions as appropriate to adjust to the results.

Position Requirements:

  • College degree preferred
  • Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of branch management experience, with proven success against goals
  • Must have wholesale distribution experience, preferably plumbing.
  • Must have had previous profit & loss responsibility.
  • Commercial or industrial channel experience strongly preferred.
