Title: Director, Business Development
Position Summary: This position is responsible for the development of the High-End Hospitality & Entertainment business. The Director, Business Development will understand and address the needs of the assigned market segment and its key customers, including defining the target customer profile, full potential within the assigned key customers and segment, and the value proposition to address their needs.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for development of key relationships at the assigned accounts headquarters level
- Understand the needs of target customers and work with various team members to translate those needs into regional and local selling strategies
- Communicate and insure alignment of the company’s strategic initiatives at regional sales level and customer level through an in-depth, annual strategic planning process
- Establishing the company as the product of choice
- Analyze the Hospitality & Entertainment markets, and consolidate multiple customer inputs into a complete market picture that drives the development and execution of a strategy for the Hospitality & Entertainment market in alignment with the larger corporate vision. The Director Business Development must be able to execute the selling strategy through the wholesale regional sales leaders and their direct and indirect teams
- Work closely with the Director Custom Service as well as the Vice President of Wholesale Sales to develop and implement a process to measure total revenues, customer satisfaction, and financial benefits, market penetration, and other factors to evaluate our overall performance and profitability at each selected account in this important market segment
- Interface, create, implement and drive a strategy to penetrate key targeted customers within the Hospitality & Entertainment business segment insuring a complete understanding of customer and market needs to be able to create a relevant value proposition to build strong, ongoing relationships with key customers within this segment
- Set aggressive yet attainable sales targets within the Hospitality & Entertainment segment and for key customers
- Develop segment picture of competitive offerings, initiatives, and pricing to drive competitive strategy within the segment
Position Requirements:
- 5-7 years related industry required
- High level customer relationship building skills
- Experience in high-level owner account relationships preferred both at the C-level and Operations level
- Experience working in commercial sales arena required
Education Requirements:
- 4 year college degree in Business, Marketing; MBA preferred.
