Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Benchmark competition and identify market demand
  • Prepare product business case, including market requirement, projected sales volume, pricing, cost, and profitability objectives
  • Work cross-functionally with teams to develop and manage a Stage/Gate Product Development Process from R&D through launch, including implementation timeline
  • Coordinate with Marketing to support product marketing plans
  • Plan product launch and support Sales & Marketing with necessary product knowledge and technical expertise, providing input for collateral development
  • Coordinate market research to track customer feedback and manage product-related support

Position Requirements:

  • 5+ years Product Engineering/Management experience in cabinetry
  • Demonstrated success launching product that led to profitable sales growth
  • Ability to manage entire Product Development process from business case (incl. market requirement, projected sales volume, pricing, cost & profitability objectives), through R&D, engineering, manufacturability, product launch and follow-up
  • Utilize Stage/Gate system (or similar) to manage new product development
  • Strong cross-functional leadership – works well with engineering, mfg., sales, marketing, finance, supply chain, logistics
  • Technical knowledge of cabinetry specifications & production requirements
  • Proficient in relevant software applications
  • Market awareness – competitors, market demands, trends
  • Financial acumen – costs, pricing, margins
  • Highly self-motivated – driven to succeed
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
