Our client is a well-established, privately-owned and highly profitable decorative hardware company that has tremendous growth potential with newly renovated facilities and a CEO that sees opportunity to lead the company to an even higher level of success.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans for volume and profitability growth
- Assess, lead, hire, train sales, marketing, and customer service staff
- Research and follow industry trends, competitors, product, and pricing
- Build, maintain, and grow relationships with customers
- Develop and manage sales and budgets
- Manage forecasting and set performance goals accordingly
- Further develop sales territories, analyzing sales by market segment, region, customer, product mix, and current and potential sales
- Represent the company at trade association meetings
Position Requirements:
- 7+ years of progressive sales/marketing leadership with a track record of growth in sales volume and profitability
- Experience with a fashion building product sold through the dealer/distributor channel
- Experience developing and implementing strategic sales and marketing plans and programs
- Team building and leadership
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Financial acumen – budgets, pricing, margins, markups
- Organizational and analytical skills
- Change agent – ability to get “buy-in” lead cultural change
- Cross-functional interaction
- Market awareness – follow trends, competitors, pricing, new product and channel opportunities
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field
